If Jesus Wasn't Raised to Life

If Jesus wasn't raised to life

there would be no hope.

Death would be the end,

of lives so pitifully short.

If Jesus wasn't raised to life

our future would be decay.

The horror of darkness and sorrow

Would never go away.

If Jesus wasn't raised to life

our faith would be in vain.

Each sacrifice would make no sense,

why not avoid all pain?

If Jesus wasn't raised to life

every tomb would remain full,

Our souls would have no hope of life,

only desperation, punishment and toil.

But Jesus, he was raised to life

and rose above the grave.

And sinful as our soul may be

through him we can be saved.

When Jesus was raised to life

He defeated our biggest fear,

Of life being pointless,

our bodies to decay and disappear.

Jesus, he was raised to life,

God's wrath on him was laid.

Every debt we owe for every sin,

has already been paid.

Because he was raised to life

our hopes are not in vain.

Death is not the end

to all our years of pain.

Since Jesus was raised to life

He deserves all worship and honor.

His offer of love and salvation comes

to every son and daughter.

Do you believe that he was raised to life?

Have your hopes on him been laid?

Jesus lived and died to bring you life,

Through him you can be saved.
